Im just really over it. I tried to shop today and my $300 budget for the month barely covered the basics for me and my partner and I feel like I'm doing something wrong. People always say Walmart is cheap but the prices keep jumping every time I go in there and I'm just confused.
I have no idea where to start with apps or coupons or whatever people use. Is there a trick to it or like a certain day of the week that things are cheaper? Sorry if this is basic but what are the most effective ways to save on Walmart groceries right now?
Great Value stuff keeps me satisfied, it works well for the basics. Honestly, are you shopping in-store or using pickup to track your total while you browse?
Its honestly getting ridiculous trying to stretch a budget at Walmart these days. Unfortunately, those Rollback signs are often just a facade for a price that was actually lower a month ago. Its super frustrating when you're counting every cent. You really have to watch out for the pre-packaged convenience items. Buying pre-cut onions or bagged salads will absolutely kill your budget. I've had issues with the quality of their produce lately anyway, so I usually skip the flashy displays at the front. Everything is so volatile now. I started using PriceDropCatch to keep an eye on things since prices flip-flop daily and it's impossible to track manually. Definitely avoid those end-cap displays too... they're usually just overpriced name brands meant to trick you into impulse buys. Stick to the bottom shelves. They hide the better unit prices down there.
