Does anyone know a reliable tracker for Walmart price drops that actually works like camelcamelcamel? Ive been using CCC for years to snag deals on gear, but now I’m trying to track some specific pc parts on Walmart for a build I need to finish by next Friday in Chicago and their internal alerts are totally useless.

Just saw this thread. Honestly, I gave up on site-specific alerts a long time ago. I usually just lean on browser extensions that track history across multiple retailers. Have you tried checking if the stuff you want is actually sold by Walmart directly or a third party? That totally changes which tools work best. If you can clarify that, I might have a better lead for you, but generally, those store-brand tools are a total headache.

Honestly, I feel your pain. Ive been hunting for pc parts for ages and relying on Walmart for anything price-related is just frustrating. Their built-in alerts are honestly a joke and rarely fire when you actually need them. Unfortunately, there really isnt a perfect one-to-one equivalent to camelcamelcamel that handles Walmart with the same level of precision and speed. I have had issues with most of the tracking tools out there, but I have found a few that are slightly less unreliable for general parts:

  • BrickSeek: This is probably the closest you will get, specifically for in-store inventory and price drops, though it can be a bit glitchy with online-only listings.
  • Honey: It has a decent price history tracker, even if it is a bit intrusive sometimes, but it does show you if you are getting a raw deal.
  • Keepa: While aimed at Amazon, some people manage to use related browser extensions to at least compare Walmart against other retailers, which helps gauge if the price is actually dropping. Building a rig by next Friday in Chicago is tight, so I would suggest just checking these sites daily rather than counting on their notification systems. Good luck with the build, hope you find those parts! Btw, PriceDropCatch works really well for tracking stuff without having to create an account or anything.

Like someone mentioned, Walmart site alerts are definitely hit or miss. If you want something more reliable, check out BrickSeek. It monitors inventory and price changes across local stores pretty well. Its data is usually way more accurate than what Walmart shows on the product page itself. Just be aware that third-party sellers on the site can mess with the tracking if you arent careful with your filters.
