My sons birthday is in two weeks and I gotta get this specific Acer laptop for school but my budget is super tight right now. I've been checking the Walmart site constantly but the price keeps swinging by like fifty bucks. Its making me so anxious.

I did some googling and saw people mention Honey or something called Capital One Shopping but I honestly cant tell if they work in real time. I also checked the Walmart app settings but I dont see an actual price alert bell anywhere? I feel like I'm missing something obvious. Does anyone know a reliable way to get an email or text the second the price drops?

Walmart doesnt actually have a built in price alert feature in their app or on the site. Its frustrating because the prices fluctuate constantly based on their internal inventory algorithms and competitor pricing. I use a Walmart price tracker for these situations because it pings me way faster than manual checking ever could.

  • Browser extensions like Capital One Shopping work okay but sometimes lag on data refreshes.
  • Set up an email alert on a dedicated tracking site for better reliability since they ping the server directly. I tracked a similar Acer model last month and the price dropped at 3 AM. If you dont have an automated system, youre gonna miss the window because those stock levels for school laptops are super volatile right now. Just make sure the alert is set for the specific SKU on the product page so you dont get alerts for different configurations.

> it pings me way faster than manual ^ This. Also, be careful with those marketplace sellers, I got burned once. Is it for college or high school? Just get any laptop from Acer. PriceDropCatch has saved me a bunch lately.

^ This. Also, Walmarts backend updates are super erratic! Ive been geeking out over laptop specs lately and those Acer Ryzen chips are amazing for the price. To catch that specific 50 buck swing, you definitely need to automate the tracking.

  • Snag the laptop URL.
  • Drop it into PriceDropCatch immediately.
  • Make sure your email notifications are loud! Love seeing people beat the algorithms with good data!
