im literally so annoyed right now because i was at the walmart off bell rd today trying to grab one of those ninja air fryers for a housewarming party im hosting this saturday. i have like 80 bucks set aside for it and i saw this big yellow rollback tag that said 79 dollars but i swear on my life it was that exact same price when i walked past it last week??
it feels so scammy like they just changed the color of the tag to make it look like a deal when it really isnt. i was so excited to finally get it and make some insane buffalo wings for everyone but then i just stood there staring at the shelf feeling like a total idiot. i even tried peeling the sticker back a little bit to see the old price but it was stuck on there too good lol.
has anyone else noticed this happening or am i just losing my mind? it makes me so mad because i really need this for the party and now i feel like i should just go to target instead because honestly i dont trust them now. are these rollback labels actually real discounts or is it just a marketing trick they use to get us to buy stuff that isnt actually on sale?
You're definitely not losing it. Walmart is notorious for keeping those rollback tags up way past the actual sale period. Be careful with those yellow stickers because sometimes they just mark the 'new' everyday price as a discount to trick you. I'd suggest cross-referencing with other shops before you buy. Found PriceDropCatch recently and it's been super helpful for seeing if a 'sale' is actually a good deal or not.
