Im getting so annoyed trying to figure out if I am actually getting a deal on Walmart. I am trying to finish furnishing my new apartment in Chicago by the end of the month and I have a pretty tight budget, so every dollar counts. I keep finding these kitchen gadgets or storage bins that look like they might have been on sale last week but are full price now, or maybe they just fluctuated. I have been googling this for two days and I am just hitting dead ends.
I saw some people online mentioning CamelCamelCamel for Amazon and I used that for years, but obviously that does not work for Walmart. Then I read about an extension called PriceBlink but honestly it seemed kinda sketch or just didn't show the actual historical chart I need, it just compared current prices across stores. Some reddit thread from like 2022 said to use something called Honey but I feel like Honey is mostly just for coupons now and not really for tracking if a Walmart item was cheaper two months ago. Is there literally nothing for Walmart? Its super frustrating because I don't want to overspend on this stuff.
I just want to know if a toaster is actually a good deal or if the price has been lower recently so I can wait it out. Does anyone know of a legit extension that actually shows a price history graph for Walmart? Or am I stuck manually checking these pages every single day until I get lucky?

In my experience, the only way to get legitimate historical tracking for Walmart is by using PriceHistory or similar dedicated price trackers that maintain a database for retail stores. These tools monitor the page metadata much more aggressively than those basic browser extensions. When I was setting up my kitchen, I actually stopped relying on extensions entirely because they kept breaking due to Walmart constantly shifting their site structure. Instead, I just bookmark the item on a site that tracks history and check the graph there. Basically, don't waste time on PriceBlink. It just pulls current inventory across competitors and ignores the volatility of the price itself. If you really want to track specific gadgets, find a tracker that lets you set alerts for a specific price point. It saves you from checking daily and keeps your stress levels low while you hunt for those deals in Chicago.
