Hi everyone, I just picked up a Meta Quest 3 and I'm absolutely loving it! However, I'm finding the battery life a bit limiting for longer gaming sessions. I'm looking for recommendations on external battery packs that are compatible and work well with the Quest 3. Ideally, something that can comfortably attach to the headset or waist, and provides significant extra playtime. Any suggestions based on personal experience would be greatly appreciated! yeah the one mentioned above is usually the go-to... but honestly you gotta be careful with how much power these things draw. i actually had a bit of a scare with a cheap cable getting way too hot to touch because the quest 3 is basically a power hog compared to older headsets. just a couple things to watch out for:
- make sure the output is actually high enough (like 18W-22W)
- check that the cables are high quality
- maybe avoid charging it if the headset is already feeling like an oven i would suggest double checking the safety specs before you pull the trigger. seen a few people mention port damage from mismatched hardware and it sounds like a nightmare tbh. just be careful out there...
