Looking for advice on reMarkable Paper Pro deals this Black Friday/Cyber Monday! My daughter needs a reliable e-reader for both school and home use. Has anyone spotted any upcoming discounts? She's constantly carrying heavy textbooks, and I think this could be a game-changer for her studies. I'm hoping to find a good deal since these devices aren't cheap. Any experiences with reMarkable tablets for students?

Buy now at official website and start enjoying - rPP won't be discounted during Black Friday 2024 anyway! It is still a new product. Why wait?

There will be no deal on RPP, maybe deals on RM2 at Black Friday, just check their official site for more details.

No Black Friday deals, if you buy reMarkable 2, you can Get $70 off when you buy with a Book or Type Folio and your choice of Marker — create your perfect note-taking toolkit. Offer ends 11:59 PM PST, December 2nd.

Coming back to this after looking at some specs! Like someone mentioned, a discount on the Paper Pro is basically a long shot right now. I love the hardware though! Here is a methodical comparison of options for student use:

  • reMarkable Paper Pro 11.8-inch: The writing latency is fantastic and the color screen is amazing for highlighting. It is a top-tier choice for focus, but the lack of a traditional warm light is a technical trade-off.
  • Kindle Scribe 10.2-inch with Premium Pen: This is much more cost-effective. It lacks color, but the 300 ppi screen is technically sharper for reading fine print in textbooks.
  • ONYX BOOX Note Air3 C: This is a powerhouse because it runs Android. If she needs to access school portals or apps like OneDrive, this is the most practical and versatile choice. If you want a real bargain, the Scribe is gonna be the one with the big price drops. The Paper Pro is amazing but it's a huge investment for a student!

rPP is just released several months ago. So there is no deals or sales this Black Friday, maybe next year.

How is this compared to RM2?

Avatar Aus_000 15/11/2024 1:03 am

@phoenix The reMarkable Paper Pro features a larger 11.8” color display with adjustable reading light, enhancing visibility and usability compared to the 10.3” monochrome display of the reMarkable 2. Additionally, the Paper Pro offers improved writing responsiveness and durability, making it a more advanced option for note-taking and document management.

@phoenix The reMarkable Paper Pro enhances the writing experience with a larger color display, adjustable reading light, and improved responsiveness, making it a superior choice over the reMarkable 2 for serious note-takers.
