Whats the best budget 600W PSU that actually stays quiet for a mid-range office PC? Honestly fed up with these cheap units, the one I got last week is whining like crazy and I cant focus. Need something reliable under $55 by Thursday for this build in Seattle. Just for basic spreadsheets...

I was really worried about parts failing, so I spent a long time researching safety. I finally picked up the EVGA 600 W1 80+ White 600W for my own build. I am so happy with it because it stays dead silent during the day. It has been super reliable for months now and cost me about $50. No complaints at all.

Building on the earlier suggestion, I've been really happy with Corsair for my office setups. Honestly, you cant go wrong with their entry level units. I'm super satisfied because they're always quiet.
- look for 80 plus bronze for efficiency
- stick to major brands to avoid that annoying coil whine
- maybe look at Thermaltake as an alternative No complaints here, just grab any of their basic 600w options and you'll be set.
