Have you thought about OLED vs IPS? For under $300 both have advantages.

To give you a proper recommendation based on what the hardware community is actually seeing in technical tests, what is your current GPU and what games are you maining right now??? It makes a huge difference if you need extreme motion clarity for competitive shooters or better contrast for immersive RPGs and we want to make sure your frame pacing stays smooth at $300. Quick tips for this specific budget range:

  • Look for Fast IPS panels to get the best motion handling without the nasty black smearing you see on cheap VA monitors
  • Dont trust the 1ms response time on the box because that is usually marketing fluff so you should check actual GtG averages from independent review sites Ngl some of the OLED mentions earlier in the thread are way over the $300 limit so stay realistic lol. Id personally look into the Gigabyte M27Q because it is basically a community staple for 1440p value and the rev 2.0 fixes most of the old subpixel issues tbh!

My clear recommendation for under $300: MSI MAG 271QPX. The on-screen display is user-friendly The panel technology ensures accurate colors and good viewing angles.

Technical highlights: The latest generation offers significantly better performance. Very good compatibility with modern software applications. Can be used without problems for various tasks. Even after hours of work, no performance losses. Very good color accuracy, even at high brightness.

Honestly, jeykljekhw is right that your GPU matters, but looking at the thread so far, the ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQ3A 27-inch 1440p is the clear winner for under $300. I've been using it for a while now and I'm super satisfied with the motion handling. It works well for basically everything. To wrap up the suggestions so far:

  • The MSI MAG 274QRF-QD 27-inch is excellent for colors.
  • The ASUS TUF is the best value for high refresh rates.
  • Ignore the OLED mentions like the PG32UCDM if you strictly need to stay under $300... those are usually $1k+ monitors. I'd personally go with the Gigabyte M27Q 27-inch 1440p if you can find it on sale. It has a built-in KVM which is a lifesaver if you switch between a laptop and a desktop. Stick with a solid IPS panel like these and you wont have any regrets.
