Looking for recommendations on the best monitor to pair with upcoming RTX 5080! My friend from school convinced me to upgrade my GPU, but now I need a display that can handle serious 4K gaming. Budget is under $1000. Been browsing reviews but there are so many options - G-Sync, HDR, refresh rates... Getting a bit overwhelmed here. What's the sweet spot for 4K gaming monitors in this price range? Really want to make the most of this card's capabilities. Thanks in advance!

Been watching this thread for a bit and honestly people are giving some really high-end suggestions like those ASUS and Samsung OLEDs, but they definitely push that budget. Over the years I've tested a ton of different panels and honestly, for a 5080, you just need to stick with a top-tier OLED brand. In my experience, you should just look at any of the high-end gaming displays from LG. They're the ones actually making the panels for a lot of these other companies anyway, so you get incredible sub-1ms response times and perfect motion clarity straight from the source. If you find an LG OLED that fits your price, just grab it, you cant go wrong with their tech. Gigabyte is another good direction to look if you want high performance and solid bandwidth support for a bit less cash. Just keep an eye on the refresh rates... you want at least 144Hz to really feel that GPU power. Youre gonna have a blast with that setup tho.
