Hey everyone, I need your predictions and insights on Amazon Prime Day gaming monitor deals! I'm hoping to upgrade to an ultrawide 1440p monitor, ideally 34" or larger with a 100Hz+ refresh rate. I don't have a strict budget but am hoping to save a bunch with a great Prime Day deal. What kind of price drops do you expect to see on high-end ultrawide gaming monitors? Any recommendations on specific models I should watch?

Re: "SAMSUNG 49-Inch Odyssey G9 now $400 off at..." - that G9 is a beast but honestly, you gotta be careful with those super curved panels. I've heard too many stories about quality control issues or panels cracking on those massive displays. Since you're looking for the 34 inch range, maybe look at the LG 34GP83A-B 34 Inch 21:9 UltraGear Curved QHD. LG is usually a safer bet for panel consistency and their warranty process isnt as much of a headache usually. Make sure you check the price history before you hit buy tho. I always use a site like CamelCamelCamel to see if the Prime Day Deal is actually a discount or just the normal price from a few months ago. Sometimes sellers jack up the price right before the sale to make the discount look bigger than it actually is. Another one to watch is the Alienware AW3423DWF Curved QD-OLED Gaming Monitor. It might not have the deepest price cut but Dell has a legendary 3-year burn-in warranty which gives me way more peace of mind. Just be sure to read the fine print on the return policy since monitors are such a pain to ship back if you find a dead pixel or something...

In my experience, Prime Day discounts on high-end gaming monitors can be hit or miss. I wouldn't expect more than 25% off the typical retail prices. That said, even a $100-200 discount on a premium ultrawide can be a solid deal.
