AMD has just released the Ryzen 5 9600X today, so which is the best RAM to pair with it ?
Lower CL is better.
I've been running my 9600X with G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo at 6400MT/s CL30 and it's been a perfect match. With AMD's improved memory controller in the 9000 series, you can finally push those high speeds without stability issues. Definitely noticed smoother 1% lows in games compared to my older 5800X3D setup.
G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB Series (AMD Expo) DDR5 RAM 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MT/s CL30-38-38-96. https://www.amazon.com/G-Skill-Trident-288-Pin-CL30-38-38-96-F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5NR/dp/B0BF8FVLSL/?tag=6890-20
Love G.Skill.
DDR5 6000 CL30 or DDR5 6400 CL32.
G.Skill CL28 NEO Royal.
DDR5 6400 CL30.
@ZenithZone2 Benchmark tests may reveal the variation, but in real-world usage, you're unlikely to detect any significant change in performance.
Get the DDR5 6000 CL30, brands like G.Skill, Corsair, Lexar.
For the Ryzen 5 9600X, consider the G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB DDR5-6000 CL30 for performance, or the G.Skill Flare X5 DDR5-6000 CL30 for value. Both are excellent choices.
I'd recommend Corsair Vengeance DDR5-6400. Ryzen loves high frequencies, and the 9600X's memory controller handles 6400MHz beautifully. Just pair it with a decent X870 motherboard to ensure compatibility. Running 32GB (2x16GB) myself and it's been rock solid for gaming and productivity.
DDR5 6000 CL26.
6000 CL30 with AMD EXPO.
Kingston Fury Beast DDR5-6000 CL36 has been fantastic with my 9600X build. Plug and play, no issues with XMP/EXPO profiles. The price difference between 5600 and 6000 speed kits isn't huge anymore, so might as well go for the faster stuff. Just avoid going crazy with DDR5-7200+ unless you're into memory overclocking as a hobby - the performance gains drop off pretty quickly after 6000.
