I'm considering upgrading my GPU and I'm curious about the RX 9060 XT. Which variant of the RX 9060 XT is considered the best for gaming performance? Is the 8GB version sufficient for 1080p gaming, or should I opt for the 16GB model? Any insights on benchmarks or real-world performance comparisons would be greatly appreciated!

Cheapest is the best.

I love this one: XFX Swift AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT OC Triple Fan Gaming Edition https://www.amazon.com/XFX-Radeon-Triple-Gaming-RX-96TS316BA/dp/B0F8128Y33?------123456890?7649-20

Saw this thread while checking some specs. I picked up the Sapphire Pulse AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB GDDR6 last month and honestly I'm so happy with it. It just works well without any noise issues or coil whine. Compared a bunch of models and here's what I found:

  • Sapphire Pulse is basically the king of set it and forget it cards.
  • The ASUS Dual AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT OC Edition 8GB is cheaper but 8GB feels a bit tight for the future imo.
  • PowerColor Hellhound AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB usually has better temps if you dont mind a larger card. Definitely suggest going for the 16GB if you can swing the extra 40 or 50 bucks. Makes a huge difference when you crank up the textures in newer titles even at 1080p... dont want to be upgrading again in a year. Let me know if you need any info on benchmarks or whatever!

I completely agree with the sentiment about avoiding the 8GB models. In my experience building rigs over the years, VRAM limits will hit you sooner than you think, even at 1080p nowadays. If you want a different route from the Sapphire, I highly recommend the PowerColor Hellhound AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB. From a DIY perspective, it has a very clean PCB layout and is easy to disassemble if you ever want to repast it down the line. Another great option is the Gigabyte Radeon RX 9060 XT Gaming OC 16GB which has excellent VRM cooling. Quick tip: always prioritize thermal headroom over a tiny factory overclock. It gives you way more room to tune the card yourself and keeps the noise down.
