I recently got an HP Spectre x360 and I'm looking to enhance my workspace setup. I'm in the market for a reliable docking station that can maximize my laptop's potential. I need something that supports multiple displays, has a variety of ports (USB-A, USB-C, HDMI, etc.), and charges my laptop efficiently.
What's the best docking station you've used or heard of for the HP Spectre x360? I'm open to both HP-branded and third-party options. Ideally, I'd like something that's plug-and-play without driver issues. Budget isn't a major concern, but I'd appreciate recommendations at different price points.

I use HP USB-C Dock G5 for my x360 (2018). This is a small, yet powerful docking station.

For travelers, I recommend the j5create dock - perfect for tossing in a backpack. This tiny dock features HDMI, USB, and Ethernet, and it can support two 2K displays and 1000Mbps networking. Plus, you can pick one up for under $100, making it an affordable choice. Not as feature-rich as the bigger docks but great for mobile setups.

I recommend the Dell WD19S. Even though it's not HP-branded, it works perfectly with the Spectre. 90W power delivery, dual 4K@60Hz support, and usually around $170. The build quality is excellent and Dell's warranty service is great.

Like someone mentioned, sticking with the G-series stuff is usually the safest bet for these laptops, but honestly, you gotta be super careful with the power adapter wattage. I see people trying to use cheap 60W bricks all the time and it just throttles the Spectre or doesnt charge at all while you're working. Make sure whatever you grab supports at least 90W or 100W if you want to be happy with the performance. Also, just a heads up, dont trust every single random hub you find on the cheap. Some of those generic ones claim they do dual 4K but they get burning hot and drop signal constantly. Its annoying when your screens flicker out in the middle of a project. Stick to reputable brands and check your specific model specs for Thunderbolt compatibility because the port might look the same but the data lanes can behave totally different. Its worth checking your firmware updates before you even plug the new gear in too, saves so much headache later.
