I'm in the market for a new desktop PC, and I've got a budget of $1500. I'm looking for the best bang for my buck in this price range. My primary uses will be a mix of gaming, productivity work, and some light video editing.
Any good ideas ?

Building on the earlier suggestion, I actually have to politely disagree that those choices are the final word because I am stuck with this exact same issue! I have been obsessively checking spec sheets and analyzing component throughput for about a month now and it is honestly so frustrating that I still cannot find a definitive answer. I am looking for that same perfect balance for gaming and editing, but every pre-built I find has some weird technical bottleneck like poor VRM cooling or restricted BIOS settings that ruins the value! It is amazing how difficult it is to get high-end performance at this specific price point without major compromises... I am totally stuck too.
