Hey guys, upgrading to the RX 9070 XT! Looking for a CPU that won't bottleneck it. Mostly gaming at 1440p. Got a budget of around $500. What CPU would you recommend to pair with it?

I paired my 9070 XT with Ryzen 7 7700X. Works great at 1440p, no regrets!

Clock speed matters! Ryzen 7000 series is decent, but check per-core benchmarks; depends on your games.

Hold up, $500 is plenty! Don't overspend. I've seen diminishing returns past the Ryzen 5 7600X. Seriously, it's a beast for 1440p, often around $230. Save the rest for faster RAM or a bigger SSD. You'll thank me later; bottlenecks are way overblown these days, especially with modern games.

Hold up! RX 9070 XT needs serious cooling. Before CPU, ensure your PSU is ATX 3.0 compliant (750W minimum) and your case airflow is *excellent*. A cheaper CPU like a Ryzen 7600 will be fine if it means investing in a quality PSU and cooler. Protect that expensive GPU first!

Consider Ryzen 7000 series. Owned mine since '22 - solid. Be careful with PSU wattage, though!

Instead of just raw power, check real-world reviews comparing AMD vs Intel. The Ryzen 7000 series consistently wins for price/performance. 2023 benchmarks showed it.
