Should I wait for the 9800x3d or get the 7800x3d now for gaming with an RX 7900 XT? The 7800x3d offers immediate performance, while the 9800x3d's benefits and pricing are uncertain.

I faced this exact choice with my current build and ended up with the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D Processor. When I looked at the actual performance data, the efficiency gains were already peaking for my specific workload. The boost clock paired with that massive L3 cache really smoothed out my frame times in heavy simulation games. Honestly, I am very satisfied with the decision. It works well and I havent seen any bottlenecking at all. The power draw is remarkably low, which makes me happy since my fans barely have to spin up. By being cost conscious and grabbing the available chip, I was able to fit a better G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo 32GB DDR5-6000 kit into my budget. No complaints here, the system is totally solid.

You'd better to wait 10800X3D.
