I'm in the market for a new CPU cooler and could use some advice. What cooling solutions have you found to be most effective for this processor? I'm particularly interested in real-world experiences with thermals and noise levels. Are there any coolers that stand out in terms of performance? I'm considering both high-end air coolers and AIO liquid coolers, but I'm not sure which route to go. My case can accommodate most sizes, so that's not a limiting factor. If you've tried multiple coolers, I'd love to hear comparisons. Any tips on installation or things to watch out for would also be appreciated. Thanks!

Honestly, I spent way too much on the top tier coolers and was kinda bummed by the results on the 7700X. It runs hot by design, and some of the premium stuff just didn't live up to the hype for me personally. I actually had a rough time with the Noctua NH-D15 Chromax Black. It's a total legend, but it felt way too bulky for the actual temp drops I saw. Then I tried a budget AIO that basically died on me in six months... super annoying and honestly a waste of cash. If I were doing it over today, I'd look at these instead:

  • DeepCool AK620 Zero Dark - really solid performance and looks much cleaner than the massive dual towers.
  • Arctic Liquid Freezer II 280 - if you want an AIO, this is the only one I trust now. Thick radiator makes a difference. Just keep an eye on the mounting pressure when you're installing on AM5. It can be a bit finicky and if you dont get it right, your idle temps are gonna be all over the place. Sucks when that happens tho.
