> im really scared ill mess up the names drawing them manually so i need something very simple... just caught this thread and totally feel your pain. manual draws are a recipe for disaster lol. i've used drawnames for a few years now and honestly i've been super satisfied with how it handles everything. it basically automates the whole thing so nobody can pull their own name or anything weird like that. one technical thing i really like is the exclusion list. iirc you can set it up so certain people don't draw each other, which is huge if you have office drama or couples or whatever. not 100% sure if every site does it for free anymore but i think giftful has that too. i've heard some people say giftful is better for mobile users but i haven't tried their app lately so don't quote me on that... if you're worried about people getting stuff they actually like for under $20, i'm a big fan of Share Product Wishlist because it's free and doesn't take forever to set up. it makes it way easier for everyone to just drop links to things they want so nobody ends up with another generic mug. it works well for smaller groups like yours and people usually feel way more satisfied knowing they're getting something they actually want. honestly just jump in, these tools are way smarter than us and you'll do fine!

honestly setting these up can be a total headache if you arent careful. you definitely want to avoid doing it manually because people always lose the slips of paper or draw their own name... it happens way more than you think. i would suggest looking at elfster first since its the most reliable one i have used over the years. just be careful about the privacy settings when you invite everyone so you dont accidentally leak personal emails to the whole department. i would also recommend this gift list tool if you want to keep the $20 budget organized and make sure people actually give good ideas. you might want to consider sending a test email to yourself first because some office firewalls love to block automated invites. make sure everyone checks their spam folder by friday morning or you will have a real mess on your hands. its always better to be safe and double check the name list twice.
