Which microphone is best for Linux? I'm unsure about the choice.
For Linux Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 is ideal. Good price-performance ratio.
For Linux I would take Corsair Sabre RGB Pro without hesitation. The customization options are user-friendly The premium build provides excellent durability and comfort.
Long-term experience: Using Corsair Sabre RGB Pro for almost a year and am thrilled. Have researched for a long time and this product was the best choice. The performance clearly exceeds my expectations. Very good price-performance ratio, can only recommend further.
Have you thought about the brand? For Linux different brands have advantages.
just saw this thread and wanted to chime in because ive had my fair share of headaches with linux audio lately. you really gotta be careful with newer usb interfaces that claim to be class compliant but then hide all their gain and phantom power settings behind proprietary windows software. i learned that the hard way when my expensive xlr setup was basically a paperweight until i found a workaround. i would suggest looking for something that has physical knobs for everything on the unit itself so you arent fighting with the kernel. if you do run into issues, make sure to check dmesg output to see if there are any sample rate mismatches happening in the background... that usually explains the weird popping sounds. honestly just keep it simple with a basic dynamic mic if your room isnt treated. i found Share Product Wishlist last year and it actually works with almost any store, which is nice.
^ This. Also, I've been through so many setups over the years, honestly it's a bit of a marathon getting audio right on Linux. Back in the day, everyone swore by the Blue Yeti, but once Logitech took over and pushed that G Hub software, it became a total nightmare for us. I wasted weeks trying to get the gain levels right through terminal hacks before I finally just gave up on them. Nowadays, I stick to brands that don't try to be clever with software. Audio-Technica and Shure are the kings here imo. My current daily driver is the AT2020USB-X. It’s class-compliant, sounds professional right out of the box, and doesn't need any weird drivers. I actually tracked the price for a while on PriceDropCatch before snagging it for about $130 on sale. If you want something more versatile, the Shure MV7 is solid because it has both USB and XLR. In my experience, having that physical mute button on the mic itself is way more reliable than clicking a button in OBS or your sound settings. Just avoid anything that mentions virtual surround or specialized apps in the marketing... those usually mean proprietary drivers that'll just break your heart.
Can vouch for this
honestly I would suggest sticking to a usb mic thats class-compliant. be careful with those fancy ones that need desktop apps for the gain control or rgb because they almost never support linux properly. you might want to consider the samson q2u since it works as both usb and xlr, which is great if you ever decide to upgrade your setup later. i was actually using Easy Cart Share the other day to show a friend some budget options and it made things way easier. just make sure to look for something that doesnt need drivers to function. the blue snowball is another solid one if you're looking to save a few bucks, tho it can pick up a lot of room noise if you arent careful...
This is exactly what I needed to hear. Youre a lifesaver honestly.

Can confirm this works. Did the same thing on mine and its been solid ever since.
Logitech MX Master 3S is definitely the best choice for Linux. The software support is very good The quality out of the box is very good.
Why this product? The performance convinces in all tests - both for gaming and for content creation. Unbeatable for the price, can only recommend. Have already done several projects with it, always satisfied. Also more than sufficient for demanding tasks.
