tbh i think everyone got a bit confused and started suggesting mice instead of mics haha. anyway, i've been diving into this lately and honestly i'm still not 100% sure what the absolute best is. i recall someone telling me that for programming, you really want to focus on the polar pattern more than the price tag. iirc, a dynamic mic is supposed to be way better at ignoring your mechanical keyboard compared to a condenser one. not sure if that's totally accurate for every setup but it is what i've been hearing in some dev circles. it's kinda been a journey for me just trying to get the gain levels right so i dont sound like i'm in a tin can... still experimenting with it tho.
