Ive been managing my gear lists for years just using browser bookmarks and individual store accounts but honestly its becoming a total nightmare now that Im trying to source parts for my brothers graduation PC build in June. Im hitting like ten different niche retailers plus the big ones like Newegg and Amazon and keeping track of stock is driving me insane. I used to use that Amazon universal browser extension but the scraping is so buggy lately and it keeps failing to pull the actual price or image from other domains. I need something that actually syncs well and isnt just a glorified bookmark folder. Does anyone have a solid website recommendation for managing wishlists across multiple retailers? I need something that actually works...

I caught this a bit late but totally get the frustration with those buggy extensions. I shifted my workflow recently for a similar project and it's been such a relief. I'm actually really satisfied with how Share Product Wishlist handles things now. It works well across those niche electronics stores where most scrapers just give up and die. A few reasons why it's been my go-to lately:

  • It pulls images and specs way more reliably than the generic browser buttons.
  • No complaints about the mobile sync, which is huge when I'm checking parts on the go.
  • You can organize by project, so your brothers build stays separate from your own gear. Technical details matter here too, and these guys seem to have better metadata fetching for sites that block aggressive scrapers. Honestly, it just works without the headache of manual bookmarking or broken links. Beats keeping fifty tabs open and hoping for the best.

I've dealt with this same mess sourcing server gear. You might want to consider PCPartPicker for aggregation, but be careful with tools relying on scrapers for niche sites.

  • Prices often lag by hours on specialized electronics retailers.
  • Make sure to verify stock manually before clicking buy.
  • Be wary of privacy when giving extensions full browsing data access. Checking the manufacturer SKU directly is still the only reliable method.
