I am trying to get a decent deal on a 50 inch TV for my sons college dorm because he moves out in about three weeks and my budget is pretty tight like under 300 bucks if possible. I was looking on the Walmart site yesterday and saw one for 280 but then when I checked again this morning it jumped up to 330 which is just so annoying.

I remember my brother mentioning something once about how you can check what a price used to be to see if its actually a sale or if they just raised it before a fake discount but I have literally no idea where to even start with that. My logic was that if I could see the history I would know if I should wait or just bite the bullet and buy it now. Like do I need to download a special program or is it just a website where I paste the link? I tried searching on google and found something called camelcamelcamel but that seems to only be for Amazon which doesnt help me much right now.

Is there something similar for Walmart specifically? I dont want to accidentally buy it at the highest price point when it might go back down tomorrow. Sorry if this is a really basic question I just dont really understand how these trackers work or if they cost money to use or if they even work for every item...

In my experience, waiting too long usually backfires. I'd skip the browser extensions and just use a Walmart price tracker site to avoid compromising your security with sketchy data scrapers.
