Okay so I am literally stressing out because I need to get this 55 inch TV for my new place in Columbus before I move in on the 1st and my budget is super tight like I really cant go over 800 bucks including tax. I know prices at Walmart fluctuate like crazy and I keep checking the page every hour but its driving me insane and I feel like I'm gonna miss the deal while I'm at work.
I was looking into a few ways to automate this and I'm torn between using Honey or just trying to rely on BrickSeek. My logic was that Honey is easy since I already have the extension but then I read somewhere that their Walmart tracking isnt always real-time and might lag by a few hours which would be a disaster if it sells out. Then there is BrickSeek which everyone says is the gold standard for Walmart inventory but the interface is so confusing and I'm not sure if the free version even sends push notifications? Or maybe there is some feature in the actual Walmart app I'm missing? I tried looking but it just seems to show me ads.
I really need something that will ping my phone immediately the second that price hits my target or I'm gonna end up paying full price and then I wont be able to afford a couch... what do you guys actually use that works for them? I'm leaning toward BrickSeek but the learning curve is making me nervous.
Man, I've been in your shoes so many times. A few years back, I was trying to snag a clearance soundbar at a local Walmart and I relied on those basic browser extensions. Big mistake. By the time I got the alert, the shelf was empty. In my experience, Honey is great for coupons but basically useless for "blink and you miss it" price drops because their scrapers dont run fast enough. BrickSeek is definitely the heavy hitter, but over the years Ive realized the free tier still has a delay that can kill your chances... kinda frustrating.
