Considering a Ryzen 5 7600X build, what motherboards offer the best balance of performance, features, and price? Are high-end chipsets like X670E truly necessary, or would a B650 board suffice for gaming and everyday tasks?

For a balanced build with the 7600X, I'd recommend the MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI. Got mine for around $189 on sale, and it's the perfect middle ground between budget and high-end. Solid VRMs that handle PBO overclocking without breaking a sweat, good I/O with USB4 support, 2.5Gb LAN, and WiFi 6E. The BIOS is intuitive and stable after recent updates. Don't waste money on X670 unless you need the extra PCIe lanes for multiple NVMe drives.

For a Ryzen 5 7600X build, B650 motherboards like the ASUS ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming WiFi offer a solid balance of performance, features, and price, including PCIe 5.0 support and robust power delivery. High-end X670E boards provide additional features but aren't essential for gaming and everyday tasks.

Any b650 motherboards are OK.
