What are the recommendations for a budget-friendly motherboard that pairs well with an Intel i5-14600K processor, specifically for office and light gaming use? Looking for a balance between cost and functionality without unnecessary extras.

Tbh since you're going with the 14600K, you have to be REALLY careful not to go too cheap on the board. Even for office work and light gaming, that chip can pull a lot of power and some budget boards just can't handle it well. Here are a few things I'd watch out for:
* Try to avoid the super basic H610 series. They usually don't have enough power phases and might actually throttle your CPU speed.
* Make sure the board has a 'BIOS Flashback' button. If the board was sitting in a warehouse for a while, it might not support 14th gen out of the box and you'll be stuck.
* Look for boards that actually have heatsinks on the VRMs (those metal blocks around the CPU). If it's just bare chips, it'll get WAY too hot. Basically, you want to save money but dont go so low that you lose performance. Idk if that helps but it's what I found out when I was looking into this!

I recommend the ASRock B760M PG Riptide WiFi. It's budget-friendly at $120, supports Wi-Fi 6E, and offers a solid 14+1+1 power design for reliable performance.
