honestly fed up with this cheap plastic stand i bought off amazon last month. it was supposed to be portable but it weighs a ton and honestly feels like its going to collapse every time i type a bit too hard. im currently stuck in a tiny cafe in lisbon and my neck is killing me because i cant get the height right without the whole thing wobbling like crazy. its actually embarrassing when people look over because my screen is just shaking the whole time lol.
im heading to london in three weeks for work and i desperately need something that actually folds down flat but doesnt feel like a toy. ive got maybe 80 or 100 bucks to spend if it actually lasts more than a month. ive looked at the roost but it seems so expensive for what it is? or maybe the moft ones that stick to the bottom? i dont know if those are actually stable enough for 8 hour days though. im just tired of my laptop sliding off or the legs snapping off in my backpack.
does anyone have a recommendation for a stand that is actually sturdy but wont take up half my carry-on space?
just curious, what laptop size are you actually rocking? weight distribution makes a massive difference on those wobbly cafe tables. basically, you should look for machined aluminum instead of molded plastic to stop the shaking:
I wasted so much money on flimsy metal ones before giving in. Unfortunately most cheap stands are just junk that wobble when you type. I really wanted to like the MOFT Adhesive Laptop Stand but it just didnt give me enough height for long days. Honestly, just grab the Nexstand K2 Portable Folding Laptop Stand. Its way cheaper than a Roost but stays surprisingly stable and folds down small for travel.
