Im so hyped because Im hosting a big movie night this weekend for about 12 people and I have a huge Walmart cart ready to go with like $150 worth of chips and drinks. I really need to show my boyfriend whats in there before I hit buy so he can see if I forgot the dip.

I tried looking it up and saw some stuff about making a Registry or using the Lists feature but that seems so extra for just one order and people online say the Lists dont always sync right. I just want a quick link to send over text. Does anyone know if there is a way to just share the actual cart contents directly without making a whole separate gift list?

Saw this and had to jump in... honestly, I use the Lists feature all the time for this and I'm super satisfied with it. It’s really not as extra as it sounds! You just move the items over and hit the share icon to text him the link. It works well for my big grocery runs and honestly keeps me from forgetting stuff. No complaints here, it’s been my go-to for years.

Walmart doesnt offer a direct URL for session-based cart data due to their privacy protocols. Technically, the cart is tied to local storage and browser cookies.

  • Use a browser extension to bridge the gap.
  • Go with Share-A-Cart, you basically cant go wrong with their toolset.
  • It generates a code that populates the items on the receivers end. This bypasses the registry system by scraping the cart manifest directly.

Ugh, I totally feel your pain on this. Unfortunately, Walmart still hasn't added a simple share button for the cart which is honestly so annoying. I had the same issue last year when I was prepping for a huge bbq. I had $200 worth of stuff ready and wanted my sister to check the brands, but the lists feature was just a total disaster... it kept losing items and was not as good as expected. I agree that lists are way too glitchy to rely on for something quick like this. Plus, the lists dont always reflect the local store inventory correctly in my experience. I ended up just sending a dozen screenshots which felt so primitive and honestly took forever. Since there isnt a direct link, you might just have to give him your login for five minutes.
