Ok adding this to my list of things to try. Thanks for the tip!
To add to the point above: mounting versatility is exactly where most of these fail. Unfortunately I had issues with the expensive stuff like the Brio. The mount felt flimsy for the price and wasnt as good as expected for someone trying to save a buck. Honestly it reminds me of this cheap monitor stand I bought at a garage sale recently. Guy said it was heavy duty but it started sagging within an hour. I ended up spending my whole Sunday trying to shim it with folded up index cards and old coasters. Total waste of time and I still have a crooked screen. My coffee even spilled because of the tilt. Anyway lol sorry kinda went off topic there. TL;DR: Dont overpay for big brands because the build quality is usually a letdown.
Honestly, I totally agree that build quality and reliability should be the top priority here, especially if ur looking for something that won't give out on you. I'm not 100% sure about the exact specs that make a webcam better for 'Small Hands' specifically, but I've been browsing some other tech boards and saw some interesting discussions. * I think I read somewhere that mounting versatility is key for these kinds of setups.
* Someone told me that certain brands have way better privacy shutters which is a safety plus, you know?
* Tbh, IIRC, some users were saying that lighter models are better if you're using a smaller or more compact desk setup. I'm still a bit cautious about some of the newer brands though... sometimes the software is just super buggy. Better to stick with what the community actually vouches for, right???
Helpful thread 👍
Ngl I am so glad you posted this because I have the exact same struggle lol. Ive been trying to find a setup that works for someone with small hands for like three months now and honestly everything just feels so clunky and oversized when I try to adjust the angles or mount it. Its super frustrating because it feels like every pro camera is built for giant hands and I just cant find anything that feels right. Just to get a better idea before I look into more stuff, are you mostly having trouble with the physical size of the camera itself when youre moving it, or is it more about the mounting clips being hard to squeeze open? I really want to find a solid answer for both of us haha.
Depends on what exactly you want to do with Small Hands. Gaming or also office work?
