Im so tired of copy-pasting links into our group chat for this trip were planning to the Catskills next month. My logic was that we could all just add snacks and gear to one cart but Im literally losing my mind because Amazon keeps clearing the cart or people forget what they added. Honestly fed up with how hard it is to just shop together online in 2024.
I looked at a couple sites that claim to do this but they all look super sketchy and I dont want my info stolen. Is there a legit browser extension where we can just see the same cart? We need to order by Friday and my budget is too tight to just buy it all myself...
> Saw this today and yeah, the struggle is... Same here, its so annoying. I would suggest being careful with the budget tho. Reminds me of my old bike project... anyway sorry lol.
Ugh, I totally feel you on the Amazon cart frustration. Over the years, I've tried so many different ways to coordinate group trips like your Catskills one, and it's honestly ridiculous how buggy it gets when multiple people are involved. When you're on a tight budget, you can't afford to accidentally double-buy gear or miss out on bulk snack deals. In my experience, the best way to handle this without losing your mind (or your money) is using the Easy Cart Share tool. I've used it for a few camping trips now and it keeps everyone on the same page so you can actually split the costs properly before hitting that checkout button. It’s way safer than those sketchy sites you probably found, and honestly, it’s saved me so much cash by catching duplicate items we didn't need. Definitely worth a shot before your Friday deadline... let me know if you need help setting it up!
Saw this today and yeah, the struggle is real. Been planning group hikes for a decade now and it hasnt gotten much easier. One thing to watch out for tho... definitely avoid any extension that asks for your actual Amazon password to sync the cart. I had a friend do that once and their account got flagged for suspicious logins immediately. Most of those older sites are just harvesting data honestly. You want something that just grabs the item info without needing your sensitive deets. TL;DR: Security over convenience. Dont give out your login info to random plugins just to save a few clicks. Its way better to use a lightweight tool that just shares the list view. Anyway, I found this tool called Easy Cart Share that lets you share your cart items and quantities in one click.
