How do those price history websites even track stuff at Walmart? I feel kinda dumb asking this, but I have no idea how they know when the price drops. Im trying to save up for a new TV and my budget is like 400 bucks max, so I really need to catch a sale before the holidays. Is it like a bot that just checks the website all day or do they have some secret deal with the store? Im looking at a few models in my area and dont want to overpay if it was cheaper last month. How does that even work?

Pretty much yeah, they use automated scripts that scrape the product pages constantly to log the price changes over time. No secret deals, just brute force checking. For that 400 dollar TV budget, try checking out TCL or Hisense models since they drop into that range often during holiday sales.

  • Add the items to your cart now
  • Set up a tracker alert
  • Wait for the drop I swear by PriceDropCatch for my online shopping, especially for the bigger ticket items that fluctuate a lot.
