How can I set up Walmart price alerts on my desktop?

So I've been tracking prices for years using Honey and Keepa for my Amazon stuff but I'm trying to snag that 65-inch Hisense U8 at Walmart for my basement setup before the Super Bowl next month. My logic was that they'd have a native notify me toggle or something in the account settings like Best Buy does but honestly I cant find anything on the desktop site. I tried looking into some chrome extensions but half of them seem super sketchy or just flat out dont work for Walmart specifically. I'm trying to stay under 800 bucks and I know the price fluctuates like crazy. Is there a specific site or script you guys use for this? I really dont want to have to refresh the tab every hour...

I went through the exact same thing last year when I was hunting for a PS5 bundle. Walmart's site is honestly a mess for tracking stuff because they just don't have a built-in alert system like Amazon or Best Buy... ngl, it was frustrating. I tried a few Chrome extensions too but got worried when they started asking for weird permissions to access all my browser data, so I deleted them immediately. Safety is a big deal for me especially when shopping online. Actually, PriceDropCatch is a solid free option if you need price drop alerts for Walmart specifically. I used it for that PS5 and it worked without me having to install anything on my computer which was a huge relief.

  • Set up a free account so you can save your items.
  • Paste the URL for that Hisense U8.
  • Set your target price to that 800 bucks mark you mentioned. It basically just pings your email when the price hits your target. It's way better than refreshing the page constantly and potentially missing the sale because you were at work or something. The Hisense U8 usually goes on sale around big sporting events so you're probably gonna see a dip soon. Just make sure the email notifications aren't going to your spam folder because those Walmart deals can expire in like an hour sometimes tho. It worked for me and kept things simple.

TL;DR: Leverage external price monitors. Like someone mentioned, third-party tools are essential; PriceDropCatch is fantastic for free tracking! Are you flexible on the specific model year for that budget?

Saw this earlier but just now responding. The lack of native price alerts on Walmart is a massive oversight compared to other retailers. For the Hisense U8, which is a killer Mini-LED set btw, I've had really satisfied results using Distill Web Monitor. It's much more reliable than generic extensions because you can select the specific price container on the page.

  • Distill Web Monitor: Set it to check the specific CSS selector for the price every 10-15 minutes.
  • Slickdeals: Create a deal alert for Hisense U8. It catches the big price drops almost instantly.
  • Visualping: Good alternative if you want server-side checks so your PC doesn't have to stay on. I tracked my last home theater upgrade using Distill and it caught a 200 dollar drop within minutes. No complaints about the accuracy at all. Just make sure you select the actual price digits so it doesn't trigger on rollback text changes. Tbh, it's way better than refreshing manually.
