Just caught this discussion while looking for some patio ideas... I was totally paranoid about my electronics dying from the heat or humidity when I first started my backyard project. Spent way too much time worrying about it lol. I ended up going with something actually built for the elements because I wanted that extra layer of safety. I am honestly so happy with how it turned out, it works well and I dont have to run outside with a tarp every time the sky looks dark.

• I went with the Peerless-AV Neptune Full Sun Series 55 inch Outdoor TV and the picture is crisp even when the sun is hitting it directly.
• Also used a Peerless-AV Neptune Outdoor Tilting Wall Mount to make sure it wasnt gonna budge in the wind. It has been super reliable and I havent had any issues at all. If youre cautious like me, getting something purpose-built is the way to go for sure...

I'd recommend checking out the LG QNED90T series. While not specifically designed for outdoor use, these TVs offer very high brightness (up to 2,000 nits) and excellent picture quality. Pair it with a good outdoor enclosure, and you'll have a fantastic setup. Just make sure to bring it inside during extreme weather conditions.
