Hey everyone! I'm planning to upgrade to an RTX 5070 and want to make sure I have adequate power supply. My current system has a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 32GB RAM, and a couple SSDs. What wattage PSU would you recommend? I'm looking at 750W units but not sure if that's overkill or just right. Also, any specific brands or models you'd suggest? Prefer something reliable with good efficiency ratings. Thanks for any advice!

Hey, just saw this. Before you pull the trigger, what PSU are you actually running right now? Also, are you planning on doing any overclocking with that 9800X3D? It is a beast of a CPU but can pull some decent power under load. Tbh, while 750W is probably fine, I am always super cautious with new hardware. You really want to make sure you have an ATX 3.0 or 3.1 rated unit so you get the native 12V-2x6 cable for the 50 series. It is way safer than using adapters imo. Personally, I would look at something like the Corsair RM750e 750W 80+ Gold Fully Modular or the Seasonic Focus GX-750 ATX 3.0. They are super reliable and wont break the bank. I have heard too many horror stories about cheap units frying expensive cards, so definitely dont skimp here!
