Hey everyone, I'm in the process of building a new gaming PC and I've managed to get my hands on a GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER graphics card. I want to make sure I pair it with a reliable and efficient PSU to ensure optimal performance and longevity. I've been researching various PSU options, but I'm still unsure about which one would be the best fit for my setup. I'm looking for a PSU that can comfortably handle the power requirements of the 4080 SUPER while also providing stable and clean power delivery. What PSUs would you recommend for a build with a 4080 SUPER? I'd appreciate any insights, experiences, or suggestions you can share to help me make an informed decision. Thanks in advance!

I literally just finished my build with this card and it is amazing! Seriously, you are gonna have a blast. Weeks were spent obsessing over the power supply because I was so scared of frying something, but here is what I actually found out during the process...
- Be super careful with the cable seating, like, make sure that 12VHPWR connector clicks in all the way or you might run into melting issues.
- Dont just grab any random 850w unit just because it is cheap, look for high quality capacitors because transient spikes on these high-end cards are real.
- Try to find one with a dedicated 12+4 pin cable so you dont have to use that bulky adapter that comes with the GPU. The 4080 Super is a total beast and it runs so quiet when it has good clean power. You made a fantastic choice with that card!

If you want best performance, try the 1000W PSU.

850W PSU is OK for rtx 4080 SUPER.
