Ugh so my living room TV finally bit the dust right before my sisters wedding party next weekend and I need to replace it like yesterday. I have about $1200 to spend on a 65 inch and I'm trying to find the absolute best deal before Friday because I need time for shipping. I've been using Price Drop Catch for a while but it feels like it misses stuff or the alerts come in way too late when things are already out of stock. My logic was that I should probably move over to CamelCamelCamel or maybe Keepa but I'm honestly torn. Camel looks okay for historical stuff so I know I'm not overpaying but the interface is kinda clunky and I'm worried it wont catch a sudden weekend sale at Best Buy or Walmart. Then there is Keepa which everyone raves about for being super fast but does that even work well for non-Amazon stores? I'm leaning toward Keepa because speed is everything right now but I dont want to miss a local pickup deal if one pops up. Is there something better than these for real-time alerts that actually works? I'm literally sitting here with ten tabs open refreshing like a crazy person because I cant afford to mess this up by the weekend...
Saw this earlier. Regarding what #1 said about "Honestly, I'm surprised you're having trouble because I've..." - in my experience, those tools often lag. Keepa is strictly for Amazon, so it wont help with local store stock. Slickdeals is usually faster for big box stores.
Honestly, I'm surprised you're having trouble because I've been using PriceDropCatch for a while now and it's saved me a decent amount on groceries and electronics. It usually works well for me and I've got no complaints about the speed or accuracy. If you really need that TV by Friday though, you might wanna tighten up your strategy.
