Tbh, if you’re looking to save some cash, I’d totally suggest looking at the Amazon Fire HD 8. I’ve been using one for ages and it’s basically the ultimate budget pick. You can usually grab them super cheap during sales, and it has a "Blue Shade" mode that works surprisingly well for night reading (at least for me). If you want something that isn't locked into the Amazon ecosystem, the Lenovo Tab M9 is another great shout. It's affordable and the build quality feels way more premium than the price suggests. Pro tip: always check for "Renewed" or refurbished units on sites like Amazon or Woot to shave off another $20-30. You definitely don't need a high-end iPad just to read some books!!!

The Kindle Paperwhite is highly recommended for its adjustable lighting, eye-friendly display, and long battery life, making it an excellent choice for avid readers.
