Late to the party but honestly... the firmware situation on that MSI model is a total bummer, kinda makes it hard to recommend for the long haul. If youre dropping $800, you really should be looking at the LG 27GS95QE-B 27-inch UltraGear OLED. Its frequently on sale and the motion clarity is miles ahead of those older IPS panels people keep mentioning. I was also pretty disappointed with the brightness on some of the earlier OLEDs, but the Dell Alienware AW2725DF 27-inch 360Hz QD-OLED fixed a lot of those issues. Its usually right at your budget limit and the 360Hz is buttery smooth. Before you buy anything, check the response time charts on Rtings or the Monitors Unboxed spreadsheet. Most of the marketing specs are just lies anyway, ngl. You want to see the actual 0-100% transitions so you dont end up with ghosting.
