What is the best 240Hz monitor I can grab for Valorant right now without going over $300? My current screen has these weird dead pixels and I need a replacement like yesterday. I spent hours looking at the ViewSonic XG2431 because everyone says the motion blur is non-existent but then I see people swearing by the Zowie XL2411K for that DyAc tech. The problem is I also use this for school and I heard the TN panels on the Zowie look washed out compared to IPS. Budget is super tight so I cant really go over $300 after taxes and I'm really torn between the two or if there is something better I missed...

Watch out for taxes pushing you over. I would suggest checking for an open box ASUS TUF Gaming VG259QM 24.5 inch 280Hz IPS to stay under that $300 limit tho.

You should probably stick with the ViewSonic XG2431 23.8 inch 240Hz IPS tho. Its way better for school than that Zowie since colors look decent for everyday stuff.

^ This. Also, in my experience, you gotta be cautious with quality control on screens under $300. I've seen many people deal with backlight bleed or panel defects right out of the box.

  • Avoid cheap VA panels; the ghosting is bad for Valorant.
  • Always check the return policy for dead pixel thresholds. Quick question tho, are you using this in a dark room or somewhere with lots of natural light?
