tbh i have been very satisfied with the AMD Radeon RX 7600 8GB GDDR6 for 1080p. It beats the 3060 in raw speed and fits your $250 budget perfectly.

  • 2048 stream processors handle high refresh rates easily
  • 18Gbps memory speed keeps frames stable
  • no complaints hitting 144fps in most shooters basically, its the best data-driven choice for your money right now.

In my experience, you really shouldnt just look at the model numbers because Nvidia and AMD name things totally differently. If you want high frames on a $250 budget by Saturday, here is how the main options stack up:

  • Sapphire Pulse AMD Radeon RX 6650 XT 8GB GDDR6: This is the raw speed king for 1080p. Over the years I've found AMD usually wins on pure frames per dollar at the entry level. It beats the 3060 in basically every shooter.
  • MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ventus 2X 12GB GDDR6: Go with this if you want the 12GB VRAM or need DLSS for heavier games. Its slower than the AMD card for raw gaming but has better software features.
  • XFX Speedster SWFT 210 Radeon RX 6600 8GB GDDR6: If you wanna save some cash, this hits 100+ fps easily and usually costs way under your budget. I've tried many budget cards and for 144Hz, the 6650 XT is the clear winner for value right now. You can usually find it with fast shipping on Prime, so it fits your timeline perfectly.

> i just dont know where to start... @Reply #1 - good point! Just be careful when chasing those high frames on a budget. I once rushed a purchase and forgot to check my power supply specs. My old unit couldnt handle the transient spikes and kept shutting down mid-match. I would suggest double-checking your wattage and pcie cables before Saturday... some budget cards also have restricted pcie lanes which can cause stuttering on older motherboards, tbh.
