Depends on what exactly you want to do with under $100. Gaming or also office work?

For under $100 I would definitely pay attention to the features, especially if it's about performance.

What size are you thinking? That makes a big difference for under $100.

tbh if you check out most enthusiast communities right now they're moving away from the big name brands for the sub-$100 bracket because you can get way more bang for your buck elsewhere. I've been messin around with webcams for years and usually the best reviews from actual users point to these few options: * Anker PowerConf C200 - This thing is a beast for the price and the 2K sensor is actually legit plus the software lets you adjust the FOV which is huge if you dont want people seeing your whole messy room.
* Logitech C922x Pro Stream - I know its a bit older but its still the communitys go-to for reliability and it handles low light way better than most generic stuff youll find on Amazon.
* NexiGo N60 - Seriously underrated choice if youre trying to stay way under budget and spend the leftover cash on a ring light or something. honestly though no matter which one you pick just make sure you have decent lighting because even a expensive camera looks like garbage in the dark and people always forget that part when theyre shopping for gear lol

To add to the point above: you gotta look at the Razer Kiyo if you're streaming. Been using it for a while now and honestly, I'm super satisfied with the technical specs for the price.

  • Frame rate: It hits 60fps at 720p. For streaming, frame rate > resolution because it matches your gameplay refresh better.
  • Light ring: The 5600K daylight-balanced ring light is a lifesaver for sensor noise reduction.
  • Dynamic range: Works well even when my monitor is the only other light source in the room. No complaints about the build quality either. It feels sturdy and the autofocus doesnt freak out every time I move my head. Definitely the most efficient way to spend that $100 budget without needing a separate lighting kit.
