Tbh, I have to respectfully disagree with the heavy lean toward QD-OLEDs in this thread. I've spent a lot of time calibrating these, and the raised black levels on those panels in even moderate ambient light is realy a dealbreaker for me. I've been daily driving the LG 27GS95QE-B and it's a much more versatile pick for $800. Heres why I'd recomend it over the others:
- The WOLED panel maintains true blacks way better than the Samsung or Alienware if you have any lights on.
- It has significantly better AGLR (Anti-Glare Low Reflection) properties, so you wont see your own reflection during dark scenes.
- The firmware for VRR compensation is more mature, reducing that annoying OLED flicker during loading screens or frame drops. Definatey check it out if you want a monitor that performs outside of a pitch-black cave. The color gamut coverage is insane too
