LG Electronics has introduced the UltraGear GX9 series, featuring the world's first bendable 5K2K gaming monitor, the 45GX990A, at CES 2025. This innovative model has won three CES Innovation Awards, including the prestigious 'Best of Innovation.' The 45-inch monitor boasts an ultra-high 5K2K resolution and can transition from flat to a 900R curvature, enhancing gaming immersion. It features LG’s advanced WOLED technology, offering high brightness, true blacks, and vibrant colors, while its Anti-Glare & Low Reflection coating reduces strain during extended use.

In addition to the bendable model, the series includes the 45GX950A, another 45-inch 5K2K monitor with an 800R curvature designed for exceptional image quality. Both monitors support customizable aspect ratios and resolutions through LG’s Dual-Mode feature, catering to various gaming genres. The GX9 series also includes smart functionalities powered by webOS, providing seamless access to streaming services. LG’s commitment to innovation in gaming displays is evident, as they continue to push boundaries with cutting-edge technology that enhances user experiences in both gaming and productivity.

Where to pre-order these two new gaming monitors?

To add to the point above: I have been doing some technical analysis on the pre-order logistics for these units. From what I can see, the most reliable method is usually going through the manufacturer directly or using established tech retailers. I have been very satisfied with LG displays in the past and they generally handle these rollouts pretty well without many hiccups. Here is basically how I would track these:

  • Register for email notifications on the official brand site
  • Keep an eye on regional specialty electronics stores
  • Check with major online tech marketplaces for early listings Honestly, if you want the best OLED experience, just go with LG for any of their high-end displays and you cant go wrong. I have been really happy with the color accuracy and how they manage brightness levels tho. It works well and I have zero complaints about the brand. It is a solid direction for anyone looking to upgrade... I am definitely satisfied with my current choice because the longevity makes it quite cost-effective.
