Since u mentioned heavy RPGs with ray tracing, this is lowkey the safest bet. DLSS 3.5 and Frame Gen are literally lifesavers for keeping things smooth. Plus, the 16GB VRAM makes me feel better about longevity compared to the older cards.
* AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT 20GB: If u strictly played Apex, I'd say go this route. The raw performance for the price is better, and 20GB of VRAM is insane for the value. But ngl, if u turn on RT in something like Cyberpunk, it might struggle to hit those high refresh rates without some serious upscaling tweaks.
* NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Super 16GB: Honestly?? It's probably overkill for QHD unless u want to MAX everything out for the next 5 years. It's a beast but the extra cash is hard to justify unless u have money to burn. For ur situation, I think the "sweet spot" is actually the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB. It works well, it's super efficient, and I haven't had any complaints with frame drops. I'd say go Nvidia just for the DLSS stability if u love RPGs. I ended up grabbing the ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB GDDR6X cuz I wanted DLSS 3 for RPGs. It’s been SO smooth! I also looked at the Sapphire Pulse AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT 20GB GDDR6 for raw value, but honestly, those Nvidia features are just really nice to have. gl!
