I've been traveling a lot lately for work, and my neck is absolutely killing me from hunching over my laptop in hotel rooms and cafes. I really need to fix my ergonomics before I end up with permanent issues! I'm looking for a stand that’s super lightweight and folds down small enough to fit in my 15-inch laptop sleeve. It needs to be sturdy enough for a MacBook Pro without wobbling while I work. I’ve seen some that are just simple wedges and others that lift the screen to eye level—which style do you find better for long sessions? Does anyone have a specific brand they swear by for being both portable and durable?
oh man, i feel u... i've tried many stands over the years and honestly the Roost V3 Laptop Stand is basically the goat for height but its pricey at $90. for a cheaper $25 option that fits in a sleeve, MOFT Invisible Slim Laptop Stand is super solid for a MacBook Pro. the Roost is way better for long sessions tho cuz it hits eye level. what's ur budget like? gl!
Totally agree with the above! Roost is legit but pricey. Late to the party, but i've tried a few others over the years that might fit ur vibe: • Nexstand K2 Laptop Stand: basically a cheaper Roost with 8 height levels. Sturdy for a MacBook but feels a bit plasticky.
• Twelve South Curve Flex: highkey looks better and folds flat, tho it's heavier. Both are game changers for neck pain honestly... gl!
sooo i went through this last year... bought a pricey stand that snapped in my bag. i ended up grabbing the iVoler Adjustable Aluminum Laptop Stand for like $15 on a whim and honestly? its been a tank. fits right in my sleeve and doesnt wobble at all. i guess i learned that you dont always gotta drop big cash for decent ergonomics when a simple metal folder works fine. gl!
Same here!
