What is the best Chrome extension for finding Walmart deals?

I'm getting so frustrated trying to stick to my $150 weekly grocery budget at the Walmart near me in Orlando. Everything is getting so pricey lately. I tried using Honey because everyone raves about it but it never finds actual working codes for the stuff I need, mostly just says 'no coupons found' on the clearance pages. Then I installed Capital One Shopping and it's just constant annoying popups that dont even apply to my cart. I read somewhere that maybe BrickSeek is better but that seems more for in-store inventory than actual browser extensions for checkout. Is there a specific Chrome extension that actually works for Walmart deals and rollbacks without all the bloat?

TL;DR: Extensions usually lag. Unfortunately, PriceBlink and CNET Shopping often miss rollbacks. I prefer raw price trackers over bloatware, tho Walmarts API is notoriously difficult for developers to scrape accurately.

Honestly, most tools are just bloatware scripts that scrape your metadata without saving a cent. Walmart rarely uses promo codes, so coupon hunters are basically dead weight. I stick to the walmart cart share extension because it doesnt hog memory or lag the DOM. Just watch out for:

  • Extensions asking for read all site data permissions
  • Scripts that make excessive background API calls
  • Fake price drop alerts that are actually tracking pixels

I used to have like four extensions running and my laptop would overheat just opening a cart. Eventually I realized most Walmart savings come from catching rollbacks as they happen. I ditched the flashy stuff for a basic tracker that monitors page changes. Way less bloat and it actually helps me stay under my grocery budget.

jumping in here because ngl its kinda disappointing how hard it is to find a tool that isnt just spyware these days. i jumped on the extension bandwagon years ago but honestly had issues with privacy leaks and weird browser lag so i ended up nuking all of them. most of these tools are unfortunately not as good as expected and usually just want to scrape your data or inject affiliate links without actually saving you money. if youre gonna keep hunting for a chrome tool id be super careful:

  • stay away from any extension that wants permission to read data on all websites instead of just walmart.com
  • keep an eye on your cpu usage because some of these things run heavy background scripts that kill your battery
  • check the privacy practices tab in the web store because most of them are harvesting your search history its not the fun answer but staying away from the automated stuff is usually safer and more reliable in the long run even if it takes more manual work... just my two cents tho.
