Does anyone actually have a recommendation for the best apps for shared family holiday wishlists because I am genuinely losing my mind over here. Honestly I am so fed up with our current system it is making me dread the holidays which is just sad but its the truth. We have this massive family group chat and weve been trying to use a shared Google Sheet for the last three years but it is a total disaster every single time.

People are constantly overwriting each others entries or they forget to mark things as purchased and then we end up with duplicates. Last year was a complete train wreck because my brother ended up with three identical waffle makers since the sheet didnt update correctly on my aunts phone or she just forgot to hit save I dont even know. It was so awkward having to return everything in the post-Christmas mall chaos. I am in Chicago and trying to coordinate for about 15 people spread across three states including my parents who are not tech savvy at all so whatever we use has to be incredibly simple.

I need something where you can just paste a link from Amazon or Target or literally any random boutique and it pulls the picture and the price automatically. I am so tired of manually typing in descriptions for my dad because he cant figure out how to copy-paste. Our family budget is usually around $50 per person so nothing crazy but we really need it to be organized. I looked at Elfster but the interface is just so cluttered and I hate all the ads popping up everywhere it makes me anxious just looking at the screen. Giftster felt a bit better but it still feels like a website from 2005 and the app kept crashing on my moms older iPhone.

Is there anything out there that is just clean and easy and actually works without a million glitches? I really need to get this sorted before our Thanksgiving dinner because that is when we usually draw names and I just cant handle another year of duplicate gifts and frustrated text threads...
