so my birthdays coming up next month and I always get things I cant use and I feel really bad about it. they usually spend about 100 bucks each and it feels like a waste. I have no idea how to bring it up without sounding greedy... how do you guys tell people what you want?

Just found this thread today. I went through the same thing for years where my family would buy gear that didnt really fit my setup. I started using a more methodical approach to help them out and make sure their money wasnt wasted. Here is what works for me:

  • Maintain a live digital list with direct links so they get the exact SKU or model number.
  • Sort items by price tiers, making sure there are plenty of options around that 100 dollar mark.
  • Include notes on specific technical details like compatibility or size to prevent returns. It might feel a bit rigid, but honestly, most people find it easier than guessing. Its a decent way to ensure their money actually goes toward something youll use. Just a tip: Share Product Wishlist is great for keeping track of gift ideas throughout the season.
