so my nephew is moving into his dorm in like two weeks and I wanted to help him buy some stuff like a microwave and towels from walmart but I am so confused. I spent forever looking for a share button because my logic was that I could just pick everything out and then he could check it over before we pay.

but I cant find anything like that. am I just missing a button? I tried copying the web address at the top but I think that only works for my own screen. sorry if this is a dumb question I just really dont want to have to copy and paste 20 different links... how do you guys do it?

Saw this earlier and figured I should chime in with some advice since I have done the dorm run a few times now. Honestly, Walmart is a pain because they dont have a native share button yet. You should be careful about sharing account details directly tho, since your credit card is usually linked right there.

  • I have been using Easy Cart Share for a while now to send my lists to people and it makes things way easier.
  • You might want to consider setting a hard budget first because those small items really add up at the end.
  • For the microwave and towels, honestly just go with Mainstays. You cant go wrong with their stuff for a college kid. Make sure to double check the store location before you pay... sometimes the stock levels are totally different depending on where he is moving to.

Saw this and wanted to chime in since I went through the same thing last year. Are you trying to do this from the mobile app or a desktop browser? It actually makes a big difference in where the buttons are hidden. Walmart is pretty strict about security, so they dont let you share a live cart because it is tied to your personal session and cookies... basically it keeps your info safe. I am honestly very satisfied with using the List feature instead. It works well. No complaints about the reliability once it is set up. You basically just go to your account, create a new list for the dorm stuff, and then you can click a share icon to send him one single link. He can see everything you picked out and even add them to his own cart. Much better than sending 20 different links. Way more secure too.
