How can I tell if a Walmart rollback is a real discount?

I read online that prices ending in .01 are the only actual markdowns but someone else said rollbacks are different? I’m so anxious about blowing my $150 budget for my kids party in Ohio.

  • must be real savings
  • need food/decorations
  • how do I verify if the price actually dropped?

Honestly rollbacks are usually solid deals for things like snacks and decorations. I'm always happy with the savings because they're temporary drops, unlike the .01 clearance which is final. To be totally sure it's a real discount, I use a Walmart price tracker to see the history. It works well for staying under budget because you can see if the price was actually lower recently.
